Description:

large nocturnal gecko, up to 33cm (1.1'), rests during the day against a tree with its head down

Habitat:

rainforests on the east coast

Notes:

I spotted this leaf-tailed gecko on the island of Nosy Mangabe. My guide was excellent at spotting chameleons day and night. I couldn't believe how skilled he was sometimes.

is there supposed to be leaf-tailed gecko in that 2nd picture? if there is, it's like 'find the cat' viral pictures in FB all over again
