Field Notes

Description:

This small flowered orchid was growing on several cultivated Lemon Guava (Psidium littorale) trees in a forest clearing. There were so many of them that they almost blended in as part of the trees. This was helped by the fact that they were almost all growing on fairly narrow twigs, which makes me think that it must be quite a fast growing orchid.

Thanks Emma! With the nights drawing in and the threat of a UK winter looming large, I really wish I was in Thailand. Time to apply for another travel bursary!
