No way! I've been meaning to post a picture of this stuff, or something very similar. I had some in an Okiniawa style restaurant in Shizuoka, Japan. They said it is found in the seas around Okinawa but not further north where we were, which explained why none of the locals I was with had ever seen it either. Taste wise.....hmmmmm.....it was not bad, but not a strong flavour. Just a very odd texture, as you can imagine just by looking at it. Welcome ari, thanks for bringing back some very happy memories!
