Description:

Some kinda hybrid, or albino? Flocking with mallards, but larger. Looked through Sibley's Guide to Western N.A., came up empty handed. Any clues?

Looks like maybe a young Khaki Campbell drake, a domestic breed.
Nice pic! I would say its just a large leucistic mallard judging by the different color head...but that's a guess. This is what makes project Noah so great!
My best guess is that it is a domestic/mallard hybrid...
i'm empty on this one too... thought immature shelduck of sorts, but nothing to confirm... may be hypomelanistic?
It is probably so common, I will feel foolish when I find out!
I don't see it in Birds of Europe by Jonsson either. An odd duck!
