Description:

This medium sized shorebird is in non-breeding plumage. It is the largest of the plovers found in NA.

Habitat:

Coastal. Spotted on the FL gulf coast, USA.

Notes:

The black-bellied plover is protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act in the USA.
