If you read the text on wiki you will see that Psychidae lava create MOBILE cases, the material does not remain attached to the plant as you have suggested. bagworm cases are composed of silk and the materials from their habitat to enhance camoflage, these materials range from (mt are not limited to) twigs and thorns to stones and leaves.

Please check carefully this picture again... Larva or caterpillar inside a soft case as seen in my link. The case is seen here surrounded by a dried leaf. Psychidae moths pupa is made with light weight stem or thorns when they dries. They are attached to the plant and not carried away like this... Christopher hope you understand my this description...!!
