Field Notes

Description:

H.siquijorensis has a darker crown than H.philippinus. Also H.siquijorensis has light brown throat & breast with whitish streaks (see next photo) compared to the Phil Bulbuls rufous throat & breast.

Habitat:

It is endemic to the Philippines, where its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist shrubland. It is threatened by habitat loss.
