Description:

A pair of Pacific Slope Flycatchers on A Canary Island Pine in my back yard.

Habitat:

Moist woodlands, coniferous forests, and shady canyons.

Notes:

This bird is a seasonal visitor to the wooded canyon in my back yard. We are about a mile north of Balboa Park.

I saw a lesser gold finch the other day and i have never heard a bird call so melancholy and melodious.
To Emma; I have lots of lesser goldfinches around my house also & love to listen to their up & down whistling. Eric ( Gay is my wife)
Gay, my first guess would have been lesser gold finch!!. Truly amazing find! Learn something new everyday!
