Description:

This little insect shell was inside a very old bottle with tons of other insect parts that crumbled to dust when I poured them out to take a closer look. Found at an abandoned cabin site near Dove Creek, CO.

Thanks to Ronald and Amissa for the ID - I think you're right on. :) They are kind of creepy looking. And according to Wikipedia, one of the Navajo names for Jerusalem crickets means "skull insect."
I've suggested an ID he's a cricket. They are also called ninos de la tierra which is spanish for earth baby. They're very creepy.
Thanks for the comments ChunXingWong and chebeagueschool... I'm not really sure what it is! We don't have ants that big here, though it looks sort of antlike. It's the right size for a grasshopper but the eyes and mouthparts are wrong. Maybe some kind of beetle?
