This is as per Bayucca's suggestion.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attacus_atlas
Look like a Giant Silk Moth say an Atlas Moth.... Is it laying Eggs..?
It is actually the same moth and spotting as this one. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/8095379 Please, do not post the same spotting twice, especially if you already have gotten an ID of it. IDing is sometimes quite time consuming!
bayucca, you can also check this: www.projectnoah.org/spotting/8095379
yes I have at my first spotting. I post the sequence from larvae to the moth
Looks very close to Attacus atlas, but body colors and markings and the yellow stripe do not fit perfectly. Do you have any other shot?
Before we get an ID we need the exact location!! Please, check your spot! It's in the middle of the Javaen Sea, so it is not a Rothschild Moth.
hi J, I took this photo using pocket camera, and I set for close up taking
Beautiful! I am not sure if you can get to species without a dorsal photograph.
