From the Noctuidae family, its a nocturnal moth, a very important distinctive feature is a spot similar to a number nine or a comma in each forewing.

Habitat:

From south of the United States and north of South America

Notes:

Very important in mythology and folklore of several american cultures, considered for instance by mexicans as a sign of bad luck and death.
