Description:

Chestnut and white waterbird; light blue bill and frontal shield; dark chestnut from lower breast to vent; black hind neck and a black band on the eyes; short stubby tail with blackish-grey legs.

Habitat:

Sea-level to 3000 mts. altitude; freshwater ponds Lakes, with good surface cover.
