Large armoured bug trying to find cover on my bright veranda - rather ugly and wonderful! Left him to find some dark place to lurk.

Thanks Ian - Yes he is formidable - but compared with armoured insects I've seen in Malaysia and India not so fearsome! But photogenic for sure.
