all over Madeira up to 400 m high

thank you Ava for the comment! the sun-matured bananas get directly to the market or the table... on the outside they do not look so freshare yellow, and small - I do not have many photos of that- the taste is much sweeter and aromatic, the fruit flesh is not so crumbly...
m-m & n-p -- I've often wondered what I was missing by eating store-bought bananas. Your comment makes me want to find a tree and give real bananas a taste!
yeah it is..., everywhere the gardens are with at least 1-3 plants. I was told that a family can have enough fruits through the whole year, from their own garden. there is even a state program with free soil- analysis and selecting the right banana subspecies. I tell you Alice, the fruits taste so well, they cannot be compared to the fruits sold on Mainland Europe.
It must be the right climate because those are big bundles of Bananas Nice.
