Description:

A good sized adult sea otter. This individual has just come up from diving and has its hammering stone on its chest and a crustacean or echinoderm in its paws.

Habitat:

Hunting along the bottom of Monterey Harbor.

Notes:

One of the best spots to see these guys. You can sometimes hear them smashing food against the sides of boats in the harbor.
