Field Notes

Habitat:

Mediterranean Shrubland

Notes:

A Morrocan guy I know, reapproached me with this hawk at a café after we'd both found a sparrow chick nearby and he'd left. It appeared that it had clipped a wing on something and was lying in the street, nursing it's wound.

Yep, I took a few, along with 2 videos. Crazy day.
You´ re welcome :) Is this the original photo of your observation?
Thanks Martin, I came to that realization a few weeks ago, just hadn't got around to changing it. But, the fact that you caught this error reaffirms why I joined NOAH. Thanks!
Hi, it is not a Sparrowhawk, it is Common Swift, Apus apus. Compare with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurasian_Sparrowhawk. Best, Martin
