Field Notes

Description:

About an inch in width, blue ting toward the body, white around the outside of the wings, orange on the bottom, and black on the inside of the wing.
I cant recall the outside colouring of the wing but i think it was similar.

Habitat:

I found this Sun Lakes-Dry Falls State Park - Umatilla Rock Trail near Grand Coulie, Washington, US.
It's a desert region and this was in the spring time when all the wild flowers were in bloom from some recent rain.

Notes:

The closest I could find was the Karner Blue but that's an east coast species...

Species ID Suggestions

Melissa blue

Plebejus melissa

Lupine Blue

Icaricia lupini
