Description:

Nearly every flower of this composite had one or more Soldier Beetles. The last picture shows both the male (below) and the female (above). Family Cantharidae.

Habitat:

In a clearing, Oak-pine forest, a few miles north of San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
