Field Notes

Description:

Orange larva with a swollen thoracic segment and black dots on its dorsal side. There were 5 white oval shapes along its sides--and a black eyespot at its anterior.

Habitat:

On a Virginia Creeper vine (Parthenocissus quinquefolia), a confirmed host plant of this species, in a public park in Floyd County, GA.
