Field Notes

Description:

Frog eggs

Habitat:

Small rainwater pool on granite hill, with mosses and grasses growing around it. There were frogs or toads calling from the pool with noises like a sheep's "baaaaa," but I could not find them. I found toad eggs there too.

Species ID Suggestions

Bull Frog

Rana catesbeiana

Thanks, @ThePinappleMan, but the frog/toad didn't sound like that at all. It wasn't nearly so low, and it really did sound like a sheep.
That noise you were hearing was a bull frog. Here is a site: noise http://frogcalls.home.mindspring.com/mp3s/Bullfrog.mp3 facts http://wwknapp.home.mindspring.com/GAFrog.Toad.html
