thanks gentleman. there are only four possibilities for this one. the argentata is the most reasonable. the coloration, in brilliance and shape, on this particular speciman was unlike any I saw on the web.
Yes indeed you may be right... I think the savignyi is known to make a silk "disc", but I am no expert. Upon your suggestion I did a bit if research and found the S. savignyi has been observed preying upon bats!!! Now that is freaky! http://caribjsci.org/dec07/43_273d-284d.pdf
@ulvalactuca77 Check the pattern also of that White silk signature... may X type in many species of Argiope spiders...
That's^ a Silver Argiope (Argiope argentata) http://naturecloseups.com/?s=argiope The X in the web is typical of them..
Deleted my ID suggestion... Thought of savgnyi specie... ulvalactuca77 is correct..
This is exact ... http://naturecloseups.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/00056672.jpg
Entonces esta coloracion que tiene es variable dentro la especie o es una especie indeterminable por las fotos ke tengo?
I have narrowed this down to a Silver Argiope Spider but I am not sure of the species.
I guess is an S. Andrews cross spider because the position of the legs and the white thick line in the web. Don't know witch species though.
