Description:

Beetle resembling an ant has a dark head and red thorax. The elytra is primarily dark except two light spots on the top corners near the thorax.

On a pumpkin in a field

Welcome Cindy.. But Oxyjack cracked it's ID already he must saw it. I just referred shape of its abdomen match with any Blister beetle..!!
