Description:

Think its bark peeling of a tree maybe from a deer or some animal, it was a brilliant red colour, not much to go by but if anyone has any ideas?

could be it was more peeled though, woodpecker scars ive seen tend to be neat holes and further up the tree, this was only about 3 foot from the floor!
