Description:

This "animal" grows in the rocks above the median low tide line at the beach. It is apparently made of shell sutures and sand glued together. I have looked close and never actuall see the animal. In the second photo you will see that they can spread over a meter.

Habitat:

Tropical Pacific waters in Costa Rica, central america.
