Money Spider

is one of the larger Linyphiiden. Both sexes are about equal in length, body length is about 5-7 mm. Basic color of the front body (prosoma) of the female is a light beige brown. The prosoma is broadly edged black and brown. It bears a black middle band, which is divided roughly in the Prosomamitte forward and ends before the eyes. This drawing looks like a tuning fork.

The rear body (opisthosoma) contributes to a broad base yellowish white, brown, and usually dark-rimmed narrow strip that is repeatedly constricted. The underside is dark. The legs are plain beige brown.

Males, as with most spiders have a much narrower rear body than the females. The ground color is more brown. They have also greatly extended chelicerae.
