Description:
This is a nymph of a green stink bug. The early install nymphs are rather brightly colored and striped, turning green when approaching adulthood. Both adults and nymphs have large stink glands and discharge large amounts of this would-smelling liquid when disturbed.
Habitat:
Spotted near the Tamarac Visitor Center. This bug feed with their needle-like mouthparts on the juices of a wide variety of plants from May until frost.
Notes:
This bug is also called the Green Soldier Bug.
