apparently the candlestick can also be know as stag's horn so maybe when i searched for the latin i misread it
yes i actually meant to id it as yellow staghorn Calocera viscosa not quite sure how i got muddled up and put the latin for candlestick fungus, thanks for pointing out the mistake, what do you think of the Id of Calocera viscosa?
that is definitly not xylaria hypoxylon ( http://www.google.nl/search?hl=nl&safe=off&q=xylaria+hypoxylon&gs_sm=c&gs_upl=2637l6850l0l10106l10l9l1l0l0l0l567l2140l0.5.2.1.0.1l10l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&biw=1201&bih=597&wrapid=tlif132061107695610&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi ), it will belong to the fam: clavariaceae ( http://www.google.nl/search?hl=nl&sugexp=kjrmc&cp=12&gs_id=1a&xhr=t&q=clavariaceae&safe=off&gs_sm=&gs_upl=&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&biw=1201&bih=597&wrapid=tljp1320611162909022&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi ), but sadly i cant narow it further in. when you had more pictures and/or could say if this one is still young or allready fully matured. sorry. but the xylaria family is wrong. good luck
What are you wanting to ID the Plantor the Fungus? Looks like Staghorn Fungus to me Xylaria hypoxylon
