Field Notes

Description:

1.5 cm long dragonfly, with dark reddish-brown head and thorax, and bright red abdomen. There are dark brownish triangles along the sides of the abdomen. Wings were almost a golden or very light orange color. Eyes are red.

Habitat:

Found in a prairie south of Sioux Falls, SD

Notes:

This name was the closest we could get, but we would appreciate any input we could get.
