thanks Marta! yes will take some proper pictures for ID quality - just bumped into this wonder and shot with a mobile phone :)) colour of vine maple changed rapidly over the past few weeks!

is a beautiful sight, XinXin :-) May be you can also add it to the Fall for Phenology mission? And if you are back to the woods you can get some leaves and add thir pics to the spotting. That will help people recognize the vine maples :-)
