Description:

Scorpionfly, about 25mm long (without the wings). It is a very strange insect, with a scorpion-like tail, which is actually, not a stinger, but is only used during mating. They use to eat dead insects and aphids. According to Wikipedia, they are usually found in hedgerows and patches of nettle.

Habitat:

Found within an oak shrub, in dry bushlands.
