Description:

a common bright orange species that often can be found in large groups on rotting conifer logs and stumps. The color fades considerably in age, though it usually retains vestiges of orange.

Habitat:

typical fall species ib the PNW, but can also be seen in spring. restricted to the PNW and northern California.
