Field Notes

Description:

The word "pony" derives from the old French poulenet, meaning foal, a young, immature horse.
Domesticated ponies of all breeds originally developed mainly from the need for a working animal that could fulfill specific local draft and transportation needs while surviving in harsh environments.

Gracias, Ismael! Aqui hay tantos en el campo y a mi me encantan estos mini caballos regordetes :-)
I adore ponies! and here in the neighborhood we have so many that I could not resist to finally post them in Noah :-)
They have such heavy coats you would think they were Shetland ponies.
