Field Notes

Description:

We're lucky enough to have a lek at the reserve and Joao Krajewski was brave enough to get down there early to take this photo. Sometimes over twenty males will spend an hour or two squabbling, quite a sight. The photo of the female feeding her chick is simply mind-blowing.

Habitat:

In the Cloud Forest. at about 1800m.

Awesome spot!!!!!!!!!! Love'em!
Joao's a bit good with the camera! She's sitting again, I saw her again last week on the way to the waterfalls
Brilliant fun to watch too! Noisy as anything. If you get up for the morning show (two hours walk in the dark) then you'll be rewarded with a right hoo-hah!

Wow! Thats the coolest bird ever!! I love the colors. An everything.. LOVE IT!
Finally got the series up. Have a look at the female feeding her chick, it's an amazing shot!
The other photos from this set are a bit big to upload. I'll work on them, then get them up....
