Wait a minute, this is on an island. I have only seen the mantids in mainland South Korea.
The "Wang-sa-ma-gui". It might be in the species Tenodera sinensis or it might be T. aridifolia, I cant find out what species the ones in South Korea are. The ones in Japan might be Tenodera aridifolia aridifolia and no T. sinensis. T. sinensis is said to come from China but China is huge. Can anybody tell me where the T. sinensis here in the United States are from?
