Description:

Bright red colors of a 2 inch asteroid caterpillar. Might be molting and changing colors.. Strange head especially visible in first photo. Feeds on the buds on goldenrod.

Habitat:

Meadow property in the Poconos.

I actually found the purple, yellow and black one in our meadow (same as the web site) . I have found 4 different colored Asteroids so far.
