Description:

This hornbill is a common, widespread resident of the dry thorn fields and broad-leafed woodlands. Related to the Northern Yellow-billed Hornbill, but they differ in color on the skin around the eyes and malar stripe (pinkish in the southern, and black in the northern)

The conservation status of this specie is of Least Concern (LC)
