Description:

Red shoulders White bands on a dark tail. Likes to perch to look for his prey.. I was far enough away there was only a knob on the tree, but I took a chance.

Habitat:

Nests in Woodlands, but hunts for his prey in open spaces.

Note the black and white tail and unique reddish breast/belly barring. Red-tailed Hawk would show a distinct belly band, paler breast and a red tail. You've captured the cute personality of this predator nicely, Alice. Well done. :)
