Field Notes

Description:

Probably the biggest specimen of poison ivy I've seen--this one was as big as a small tree!

Habitat:

Woodland near a wetland

Notes:

This spotting isn't very helpful for identification of poison ivy, but that's not what this picture is for. This is merely an example of how large poison ivy can get. Usually when you think of poison ivy, you think of small leaves, or maybe a hairy vine but certainly not something like this. Always be aware!

thanks for your kind response. I figured that since you are a student of biology you might have someone in your contact list that could help. no worries.
That's a wonderful spotting, but unfortunately I don't have much experience with crayfish. I'll look around a bit, but I'm not sure that I'll be able to find much. But maybe I'll get lucky, or someone else will come along who knows!
any chance you can help out with this spotting? http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7801698
