Description:

Insect: Large (size of a horsefly) black and hairy fly attracted to my buckwheat. Never see it any other time. Will win no beauty contest.

Habitat:

Open area in SW Alabama on buckwheat.

Notes:

Seems attracted to the buckwheat flowers and went from flower to flower.
