Field Notes

Description:

Green and Black Poison Dart Frog

Habitat:

The adult frogs thrive in the lush, overgrown, tropical flora in the immediate area. The dart frogs live in the green shrubbery and lava rocks between the houses. They need standing water to rear their young. I placed this water plant in a mini pond-like set up. I can watch the frogs from my front door. There are tadpoles in the mini-pond that were placed there by the parent Dart Frogs.
