Field Notes

Description:

Yellow active asteroid caterpillar. 50 yards away from other sighting of yellow caterpillar on Oct. 28. Mostly yellow and black with a little green to the rear with red splatter. 2 inches when stretched out. Found on Small White Aster. Still active as of 11/14/11 in a small meadow in the Poconos of PA.

Habitat:

Meadow in the Poconos.

Notes:

Unknown at this time whether I have two yellow asteroids or one.

I noticed a little green at the rear. Is this changing colors? From Green to yellow and then red? I found a molting red one.
