Field Notes

Description:

It's a blue bird with white belly and black head/collar, with about 30cm from head to tail. It has bright blue spots over the eyes and in the back of the head.

Habitat:

Found just outside a Bird's Zoo in Foz do Iguazu, Brazil

Notes:

I tought it was a Gralha Azul (Cyanocorax caeruleus), a very common bird in souther Brazil. Couldn't find more information on this beauty (well, I am just starting this 'identify the species' thing) ;)
