Eastern Painted Turtle

I spotted this turtle in the middle of the road. I stopped to move it out of harm's way and noticed that it had a hitchhiker attached to it's shell. I removed it with a stick, and was startled by how quickly the leech whipped over trying to get back to the turtle.
