alicelongmartin - I spend a great deal of time studying & researching native beneficial insects and pollinators so I've been learning them as I go :)
It all started with my first observation of a Robber Fly - It was so intriguing, I just had to learn more!
Thanks again Cheryl, The new Nikon 1 looks as though it would be great for this, but with the lens, it is way outside my budget for amateur photography :(
I recently upgraded to a Nikon D300, and it is exactly as you say ~ very heavy and awkward for macro shots. I really loved my Nikon D40, much easier to use. Your macro shots are incredibly sharp, I am amazed by your photographs.
@Cheryl Lee
Thank you :) To be honest all my photos are taken with a point & shoot Canon that happens to have a really decent macro for a compact. I've considered upgrading to a DSLR but I'm worried a larger camera & extra equipment may be too awkward to get these candid shots.
