Field Notes

Habitat:

Tropical dry forest in NW Costa Rica

Notes:

This is an ornamental in our garden. The more sunlight this plant receives the more red the leaves become. This is not to be confused with a similar species that has only green in the leaves.

Species ID Suggestions

crinum erubescens

Comments (1)

Thanks Patricia for the lead, it turns out to be the Crinum procerum var. splendens because of the red leaves.
