Does look like Angelica but that genus doesn't appear to be in the neotropics. Here's somewhere to start for the time being: http://www.kew.org/science/tropamerica/neotropikey/families/Apiaceae.htm
the shot was taken in the Poas Volcano National Park...quite removed from humans
yeah, you may be right... where did you take the shot? was it a garden, or an old left garden - anywhere near human locations?
It sure looks like. The photo is terrible! However, the angelica is from far North America. This is an unlikely transplant for Costa Rica. However, anything is possible!
