Meik, you are correct about the spots, they are a dead give-away, inverted hearts against round spots, with upward tails on the sides. The shape is the other give-away, even though it has its head tucked in.
I think Malcom is right it looks more like the Mistle Thrush although my suggestion was Song Thrush. Both can easily be confused if you don't look carefully. It is especially the longer neck and the dark spots on the upper breast that appear somehow thorn-like. Song Trush has usually a shorter neck and the dark spots look more like upside-down hearts. The color is a bit tricky on this picture so I wouldn't rely on it too much and you can't see the back of the bird, which would be helpful. The tips of the wing feathers of Mistle Thrush are edged with white, those of Song Thrush are orange.
Hi Anuma, this has now been confirmed as Mistle Thrush by 3 independent people so you may now go ahead and use "edit this spotting" to change the details we have given you.
beautiful spotting anumabhattarai!!
This looks very much like a Mistle Thrush, long and slim with grey back. The Song Thrush is shorter, plumper, and has a brown back.
