Field Notes

Description:

A tiny Jumping Spider (salticidae) with a flying ant in it's mouth.
Looks like a Thiana spiderling.
It's body length is about 4mm.
It is black in color.
There are 2 blue curved lines on it's abdomen and on it's head.
it's front legs are darker than the back legs.
It is a female eating an ant alate.

Habitat:

I found it on a tree leaf in Kinabalu National Park, Kundasang, Sabah, Malaysia.

Notes:

One of the spider that I had never seen before that I found in this forest reserve park.

Yes but I was not contented with the later pictures of it. I can't get a clear focus on it as it started to move away after realizing my presence.
Nice series! It's interesting to see the spider with prey.
