Field Notes

Description:

Very actively feeding bagworm larva in its case. The third photo has been cropped to show its extended head.

Habitat:

Chilapata Forest is a dense forest near Jaldapara National Park in Dooars, Alipurduar district, West Bengal, India. This photo was taken in the garden of the Chilapata Jungle Lodge which is located right where the jungle ends.

Notes:

This is my 7th Bagworm spotting; they all make such different cases.
Really bad defoliators!
