Description:
A naturalist at Huntley Meadows Park told me painted turtles can be identified by the yellow marks on the sides of the turtle's head (she referred to them as "headlights"). Photo 1 of 2 is a copy of the original photograph, cropped to highlight the turtle; Photo 2 of 2 is the original photograph.
Habitat:
